PERMITTING GUIDELINES
For groups, special events, individual training, or any park activity that is consistent and recurring, a permit needs to be requested, approved, and issued through Walk Off Charities, who oversees all park activity on the athletic fields. Insurance is required, especially if groups are running youth programming, but also still necessary for adult athletic events and programs. A fee will be assessed based on field space used and time spent. When fields are permitted, no one other than the permitted group or groups (if sharing field space) are allowed on the field. If a group or individuals are on the field, please address the situation with proof of permit, asking politely for them to get off the field during your scheduled time frame. If a permit holder has an issue with anyone on the field during their allotted time frame, please call Donna Murphy at (904) 376-0694.
If something needs to be reported or addressed with authorities (not an immediate threat), please contact us, through Donna (donna@walkoffcharities.com) or Jarrod Simmons (jarrod@walkoffcharities.com) or at (904) 343-1049 and we will touch base with the JSO COJ Parks Liaison.
If there is an immediate threat for safety or a concern or feelings of violence, please contact JSO through 911 emergency.

INCIDENT REPORTS
If something does occur that requires police, firefighters, EMT, or is an incident that involves violence, a threat of violence, abuse, a threat of abuse, drug or alcohol use concerns, or simply an injury or accident, please report this within 24 hours to Walk Off Charities (contact information above). If it concerns anything that is an immediate threat, again, contact the appropriate authorities through 911 emergency but please contact us as soon as possible after the situation is under control. An incident report form will be emailed as an attachment to this document and will be required for all incidents that fall within the parameters above.

OPEN FIELD (NON-PERMITTED TIMES)
If fields are open (i.e. space is available for pickup play or practice), groups or individuals are free to use them. However, if a permitted group is set to come on the field, the pickup game has to respect their time and space and move off the field for them to use it. Communication will be sent often as it relates to the weekly calendar schedule of events, practices, and games. Please respect this calendar and communicate to others in your group when the field is booked so in the case there is an “open field”, those groups or individuals would know prior to use (or the attempted use).

COMMUNICATION
As fields use increases and the calendar becomes more robust with events, practices, and games, it is imperative that individuals or groups stay in constant communication with Walk Off Charities to ensure the best possible experience for all. Again, Walk Off will be communicating more effectively and consistently in the new year in regards to the field use schedule and everyone needs to adhere to, and respect, this schedule and those individuals or groups that will be using it. If there is an issue with groups running over time or using more than their allotted space, please communicate with Walk Off so that we can resolve this issue.

SHARING FIELDS/COMPETING GROUPS/PROGRAMS
With the park receiving new turf fields (and more coming in 2024), we are asking that everyone be patient, respectful, kind, and caring when it comes to sharing field space. We especially understand that some groups run similar programs or events, but this park is here to allow as many groups as possible to utilize the space. That being said, if an individual or a group is not respectful towards others, that individual or group may be warned, fined, or suspended from park activities and field use. Please keep an open line of communication if there is an issue.
